Richard Hechenbichler has a diverse work history that spans several industries. Richard began their career in 1998 at HSBC Bank, where they held various roles, including Head of Digital Mobile and Group Enterprise Architect Manager. During their time at HSBC, they focused on developing and delivering strategies for omnichannel solutions and implementing global IT management practices.
Hechenbichler then moved on to Capgemini, where they held positions such as Principal Digital Customer Experience & Innovation and Director of Channels. At Capgemini, they played a key role in promoting digital transformation and innovation within organizations, as well as managing the development and launch of internet and mobile solutions.
Richard later served as Chief Technology Officer at inGaia, where they focused on building a digital vision for the real estate market and creating a culture of full-stack dominance. Following that, they joined LexisNexis Risk Solutions as Senior Director - CTO, Technology, where they led technology transformations and advanced analytic capabilities for the Brazilian market.
Hechenbichler also had a stint at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the Principal LATAM AWS Outposts Specialist Director. In this role, they pursued strategic opportunities and cultivated partnerships to bring AWS products and services to Latin America.
In 2022, Hechenbichler joined Bitso as the Tribe Vice President of Engineering, where they advocated for the disintermediation of current financial systems through crypto and individual financial sovereignty.
Currently, Hechenbichler holds the position of VP of Technology & Engineering at Konfído, where they continue to leverage their expertise in technology and engineering leadership. Prior to this, they founded Smart me Up, where they focused on developing entrepreneurship solutions and delivering enterprise design and product development.
Richard Hechenbichler completed their Bachelor's degree in Technology at ESEEI in 2004. In 2012, they pursued an MBA in Enterprise Strategy Management at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, where they studied subjects such as Strategy Planning, Corporate Sustainability, Leadership, and Macro-economy. In 2018, they participated in the altMBA program, focusing on Making Ruckus! In addition to their formal education, Richard has obtained various certifications, including the AWS Technical Proficiency, Digital Innovation 101, Architecting on AWS, and many more, from institutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Qulture.Rocks, Kaggle, Estabilis, Princeton University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Alison - Free Online Learning.
