Jan Steglich

SVP Business Development at Kongregate

Jan Steglich began their work experience in 2004 with an internship at Safmarine/Maersk Sealand A.P. Møller Group. In 2005, they completed another internship at Billabong South Africa and co-founded icons - consulting by students. From 2006 to 2009, Steglich worked at Arena Solutions in various roles such as Marketing Analyst and Partner Programs Manager.

In 2010, they joined Detecon Inc. USA as a Business Analyst and later became a Consultant and Senior Consultant - Innovation & Strategy. At Detecon, they focused on telecommunications and mobile internet strategies.

Steglich moved on to Pro 7 Sat.1 - Digital & Adjacent in 2013, where they served as Sr. Director US Digital Ventures. There, they led deal flow management and co-investment negotiations with B2C startups and developed partnership frameworks for startups.

From 2015 to 2019, Steglich worked at MTGx Modern Times Group, first as a Special Advisor assisting in commercial due diligence for digital video investments, and later as the Director of Digital Investments and International BD. In this role, they were responsible for international business development and identifying acquisition opportunities for the company.

In 2019, Steglich took on a new role as the Director - Digital Investments and International BD at Modern Times Group MTG AB. Finally, in April 2021, they became the SVP Business Development at Kongregate, where they currently hold the position.

Jan Steglich completed their education at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck from 2002 to 2006. During this time, they obtained a Diploma (equivalent to a US Masters Degree) in the field of Strategic Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. In 2004 to 2005, Jan Steglich also studied at the University of Cape Town as a Visiting Scholar, focusing on Marketing and Economics.
