Christine Kaineg

Christine Kaineg is the Director at Koniag. Christine has over fifteen years of experience in communications and public relations.

Christine began their career as a Communications Specialist & Assistant Corporate Secretary at VSE Corporation. There, they were responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies, overseeing three websites, managing external relations and social media channels. Christine was also responsible for communicating complex technical and operational achievements by working with key staff and communicating their success stories to a wider employee base. In addition, they created and initiated public relations activities such as writing press releases, earnings scripts and updating news and events sites on the company website and submitting releases to BusinessWire.

Before their time at VSE Corporation, Christine was the Director of Communications at Integrated Concepts & Research Corp. (ICRC). At ICRC, they gained key experience in operations at a subsidiary of an Alaska Native Corporation. Later, they managed communications for a small, diverse employee base that spanned several locations, time zones and business capabilities. During their time at ICRC, they were responsible for all aspects of ICRC’s public relations, internal communications and presence at trade shows, conventions and other marketing events. Christine also showcased accomplishments and milestones of four different operating segments through a weekly internal newsletter and quarterly external newsletter. In addition, they developed and coordinated all marketing material, advertisements and community outreach.

Christine Kaineg's educational career includes a BA in Marketing & Communications from Washington State University, as well as attending West Anchorage High School.
