Ala'A El-Nahas

Ala'a El-Nahas is a seasoned Senior Geotechnical Engineer currently employed at Boskalis since January 2022. With a robust background in geotechnical engineering, Ala'a has held prominent roles including Lead Geotechnical Engineer for ADNOC Group on the Hail and Ghasha Offshore Gas Fields project, and Associate Director and Technical Lead at JACOBS ENGINEERING UK LIMITED. Previous positions include Lead Geotechnical Engineer roles at Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd and Bechtel CCEE, as well as serving as Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Coffey Geotechnics and Royal Haskoning. Ala'a's expertise encompasses site investigation, seismic hazard assessment, liquefaction assessment, and structural retrofitting, coupled with a strong commitment to mentoring and technical development. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, alongside a Master's and Diplomas in Geotechnical Engineering from Cairo University.
