Maurits Baas

Maurits Baas is an experienced maritime engineer currently serving as a Second Engineer at Boskalis since October 2020, having previously held positions as a Third Engineer and Apprentice Marine Engineer on board the TSHD Oranje. Baas has developed expertise in maritime engineering, completing a bachelor thesis focused on enhancements to the Liquidyne system for dredge pumps. Prior experience includes a role as a Maritime Student Intern at Boskalis and a Student Office Assistant at EFDRIE onderzoeksbureau, with practical sailing experience on the HLV Bokalift 1. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Maritime Officer from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and a Pre-University Education degree from Rijnlands Lyceum Sassenheim.
