Dorothy Tan

Dorothy Tan has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic partnership and driving HR initiatives. Dorothy currently holds the position of VP, HR & Communications- Asia & Middle East at Vopak. In this role, they are responsible for creating the HR strategic roadmap and implementing programs within the region.

Prior to their current role, Dorothy served as HR Director - South Asia at Markem-Imaje, where they provided strategic partnership to multiple business groups and leaders in Asia Pacific. Dorothy also collaborated on employee relations issues, drove associate engagement and retention, and ensured units were structured properly to meet business objectives.

Before that, Dorothy worked as HR Director, Asia Pacific at IMI Cornelius, where they undertook both strategic and operational roles. Dorothy partnered with senior leaders, managed employee engagement and policy administration, and led the implementation of HR strategies aligned with business goals.

Dorothy also has experience at AB Sciex, where they held the role of Senior Manager, Human Resources - Rest of Asia. In this position, they provided strategic HR advice, implemented initiatives aligned with business objectives, and supported the development and growth of the organization and its people.

Additionally, Dorothy has held various HR roles at Tektronix, Carrier HVAC, Broadcom Singapore Pte Ltd, and Glaxosmithkline.

Dorothy Tan completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University at Buffalo from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bsc (Hons) degree in Computer Science & Information Technology from the University of Central England in Birmingham from 1997 to 2000. In addition, they hold a certification as an EGN Singapore Member from the EGN Group, obtained in October 2023, and a certification in Leading at a Distance from LinkedIn, obtained in 2021.
