Rick Den Bakker

Rick den Bakker is an experienced procurement professional currently serving as Procurement Category Manager - Global Logistics at Farm Frites since October 2019, managing logistics categories with a spend of €130M annually and overseeing the Global Ocean Freight strategy. Previously, Rick held the position of Global Category Manager at Vopak since April 2018, focusing on equipment categories. Prior roles include Global Category Manager and Regional Procurement Manager at NewPort Tank Containers, where responsibilities included negotiating Ocean Freight and tank leases amounting to significant annual spends, as well as managing procurement operations in the EMEA region. Rick began their career in logistics with various positions at De Rijke Logistics, Fr.Meyers Sohn, Mammoet, and Unitor, complemented by a Bachelor of Engineering in Logistics and Globalization from University Inholland Delft, along with several specialized training programs in negotiation and shipping.
