Brian Battjer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Brian is currently the Head of Product at Kontango since 2023. Prior to this role, Brian worked as a SAAS Product Expert & Start-up Growth Advisor at Flux Capacity LLC from 2011 to 2023. Brian also held positions at Yodle as Director, Product Innovation from 2010 to 2011, and as Director of Product Management from 2008 to 2010. Before that, Brian served as a Group Product Manager at Meetup.com in 2007 and as a Senior Product Manager at Community Connect from 2005 to 2007. Brian has also held leadership roles with Adbrite, Spring Street Networks, Hangspace.com, and Modem Media earlier in their career.
Brian Battjer attended Syracuse University from 1996 until 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Religion.

Kontango provides a range of commercial services for chemical markets and other underserved commodities. These services include market map databases, market intelligence capture tools, commercial planning software, proprietary pricing models, and brokering services. Kontango helps trading teams in opaque, illiquid markets to increase discipline, gather and store market intelligence, and evaluate more alternatives to optimize their day-to-day physical trading. As of year end 2023, 7 million tons / $2.5bn of physical trade planning is being managed on Kontango.
