John Fitzmaurice

John Fitzmaurice has a diverse work experience. In 2015, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at York University. From 2016 to 2021, they served as a Renovator and Property Manager, overseeing residential and small-scale commercial renovation projects while managing mixed-use buildings in midtown Toronto. Since 2022, John has been employed at Kontrol Technologies Corp., initially as a Junior Project Manager and currently as a Project Manager. In these roles, they have managed various building-solutions projects, including energy analytics, HVAC, energy retrofits, and lighting retrofit projects. John has also facilitated the installation and maintenance of SMARTSUITE™ IoT smart thermostats and collaborated with industry-leading partners to deploy cloud computing services for data analysis and energy-saving recommendations.

John Fitzmaurice has an extensive education history. John pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bioethics/Medical Ethics at the University of Toronto from 2009 to 2014. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at York University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from 2015 to 2016.

In 2021, John enrolled at Sheridan College, where they studied Business Analysis and Process Management, specializing in Business Analysis. John completed their studies at Sheridan College in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, John has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they received the "Hospice and Palliative Care Volunteer" certification from Hospice Toronto. In 2021, they acquired the "Introduction to Programming Using Python" certification from Udemy Academy. More recently, in 2023, they completed the "Energy Management Professional 101" certification from CIET.
