Pierre-Yves Fauvernier has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Pierre-Yves started their career in 1995 as a HW/SW Designer at Ideal Visuel. Pierre-Yves then worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise in 1996. From 1997 to 2003, Pierre-Yves worked at Nortel Networks, where they held various positions in 2G Customer Technical Support and 3G Product Support. Pierre-Yves was responsible for analyzing interworking with wireless access, public networks, and providing emergency recovery support.
In 2007, Pierre-Yves joined Alcatel-Lucent International, where they worked in roles such as 3G/4G Global Product Support and 4G RAN System Validation - Line Manager. Pierre-Yves managed and supported live networks worldwide and also led a team responsible for validating patches for 3G/4G products.
From 2017 to 2022, Pierre-Yves worked at Nokia as a WIRELESS\\5G Squad Group Leader IVVQ. Their responsibilities included validation and verification of new Nokia 5G mobile network products in a DevOps mode. Pierre-Yves managed a team of 30 people across three areas, including OAM, transport/edge cloud, and RRM mobility. Pierre-Yves successfully delivered 5G features and introduced feature interaction testing.
Most recently, Pierre-Yves joined Kontron in 2022 as the Head of Engineering Group nextGen products 4G/5G, where they work on developing next-generation products for 4G and 5G networks.
Pierre-Yves Fauvernier obtained their Master's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from ESIR - Ecole Supérieure d'ingénieurs de Rennes. Pierre-Yves attended this institution from 1991 to 1994.
