Phaneesh Gururaj

Phaneesh Gururaj is the current CTO at Koo. Prior to this, they were the Sr. Vice President - Head of Products | Data Science at redBus from April 2014 to May 2021. In this role, they oversaw all redBus product lines across various geographies, including the core B2C channels, horizontal charters, and bus operator-facing products. Phaneesh also built a strong product management org to lead this charter.

Previously, Phaneesh Gururaj was an engineer and team lead at Intouch Solutions from July 2009 to April 2014, during which time they engineered challenging applications for the Pharma/Healthcare vertical on .NET stack / NoSQL. Phaneesh also championed various programs (first time execution) in the Digital Marketing Space– Google Glassware Apps, Mobile Apps, Social Media, eCRM/Salesforce integration.

Phaneesh Gururaj has a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a BE in Electronics and Communications Engineering from RV College Of Engineering, and degrees from MES College and Sri Vidya Mandir.
