Michael Raber M.D.

Michael Raber MD is a neurosurgeon currently practicing at Kootenai Health since June 2020. Previously, Michael served as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine from August 2017 to June 2020 and held a position as a neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Medicine from July 2016 to June 2017. Michael completed a residency in neurosurgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital between July 2011 and July 2016, during which time Michael also undertook a Neuroendoscopy Fellowship focused on endoscopic approaches to sellar and para-sellar lesions under Dr. Edward Laws. In addition, Michael conducted basic and translational research on angiogenic protein expression as a potential biomarker for CNS tumors during a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School from July 2012 to June 2014, while also serving as a lab instructor in Neuroanatomy. Michael earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine (2004-2008) and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business (1998-2001).
