Joseph Seaman has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joseph began their career at Connellsville Area School District and Southmoreland School District as a Substitute Teacher from 2010 to 2012. Joseph then worked as an Office Clerk at Westmoreland County from 2012 to 2013. Joseph then moved on to the Westmoreland County Sheriffs Office, where they held roles as an Assistant Manager from 2013 to 2016 and as an Office Manager from 2016 to 2016. Following this, they joined Evoqua Water Technologies as an HR Services Advisor II from 2016 to 2021, where they were responsible for various HR tasks such as maintaining employment records, implementing personnel policies, and conducting phone interviews. Joseph then joined SAP as a Technology Associate Consultant from 2021 to 2023, where they worked as part of a consulting team. Joseph is currently working at Koppers Inc. as a Human Resources Information System Analyst, starting in 2023.

Joseph Seaman attended PennWest Edinboro from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art Teacher Education. In addition to their degree, Joseph has also obtained several certifications from SAP. In July 2021, they became a SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core 2021. In September 2021, Joseph received two more certifications, namely SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP HCM Payroll with ERP 6.0 EHP7 and SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP SuccessFactors for Employee Central Payroll 2021.
