Carsten Bierans

Carsten Bierans has extensive work experience in quality management, specializing in the pharmaceutical industry. Carsten began their career as a Project Manager at Werum in 1997, where they successfully managed projects until 2003. In 2003, they joined Körber Pharma, where they held various positions over the years. From 2003 to 2011, they served as a Senior Quality Manager, demonstrating their expertise in ensuring high-quality standards. In 2012, they were promoted to Senior Head of Quality Management, where they took responsibility for the global ISO9001 certified quality management system and led a team of 15 employees at locations in Germany and the USA. Carsten successfully implemented process enhancements and efficiency increase initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma methodology. Carsten also developed and implemented a supplier quality management program and provided consulting for validation of computerized systems. In 2020, they were promoted to Vice President of Quality Management, where they continued to excel in their role before taking on the position of Vice President of Quality Management Software in July 2021, where they currently hold the position. Carsten has also been actively involved in global projects and multinational teams throughout their career.

Carsten Bierans completed their education at Stiftung Universität Hildesheim from 1990 to 1997, where they obtained a Dipl.-Inf. degree. During this time, they studied Computer Science and Economics. As of 2022, they are currently pursuing further education at the University of Hamburg, although specific details regarding their degree and field of study are not provided.

Additionally, Carsten Bierans has obtained certifications in different fields. In April 2022, they completed a Business Coach certification from V.I.E.L Coaching + Training. Furthermore, in July 2017, they achieved a Green Belt for Lean Six Sigma certification from PEEC - Productivity Engineering Europe Corporation.
