Karen Van Gelder

Karen Van Gelder is the New England Operations Manager at Korde & Associates. Karen has over 20 years of experience in the retail industry, working their way up from a part-time associate to a store manager. In their current role, they help train and develop staff to their full potential throughout various stores.

Previously, Karen was the Store Manager/ Project Manager at The Paper Store for 10 years. In this role, they were responsible for all HR duties, recruiting, payroll, associate development and training programs, corporate and staff communication, inventory control, promotional support, merchandising, troubleshooting customer complaints, cash control, employee scheduling, and total operational procedures.

Before that, Karen was an Administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper at Premium Wood Work for 13 years. In this role, they were responsible for multitasking, accounts receivable and payable, preparing all documentation for accountant, communication with employees, payroll preparation, ordering supplies and other duties as required.

Karen began their career as an Administrative Assistant at International Rehab Associates in 1986.

Karen Van Gelder attended Woburn High School, where they studied business. Karen then went on to Middlesex Community College to continue their education.
