Simona began their education in 2003 at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where they pursued a degree in Management Engineering with a focus on Corporate Organization. Simona successfully obtained their degree in 2007.

In the same year, Simona had the opportunity to study at the Universidad de Cantabria, specializing in Industrial Engineering for a short period of time.

Simona continued their academic journey in 2007 by enrolling at the University of Rome Tor Vergata again, pursuing a Master of Science in Management Engineering. Their studies focused on Management Engineering, Design, Logistic, and Transport Systems. Simona completed their master's degree in 2009.

During the same period, Simona also had the opportunity to study at Delft University of Technology, where they worked on their Master's thesis. The thesis focused on Urban Traffic Control using MPC, with a case study of the city of Eindhoven.

Later on, Simona attended Unitelma Sapienza in 2017, where they pursued a Masters course in Transport, Mobility, and Logistics with a specialization in Management. Simona completed the course in 2018.

In terms of certifications, Simona obtained the ITIL® Expert Certificate v4 in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in December 2019.

Most recently, Simona obtained the AgilePM® Foundation certification from APMG International in November 2021. It is also worth noting that Simona has obtained the AgilePM® PRACTITIONER certification, although the precise date of this achievement is not specified.
