Head Of Digital Media at Korea Electric Power

Sung Woo has extensive work experience in the field of media and communication. Sung started their career as the Managing Director at Diamond Ogilvy Korea and held the position from 2004 to 2009. Sung then joined Cheil Worldwide, a member of Samsung, as the Global Media Team Lead. In this role, they developed media communication strategies for clients such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung Life Insurance, and CJ in more than 20 countries. Sung also developed digital media strategies and managed partnerships with key stakeholders. Sung Woo then moved to the role of Chief Marketing Communications Officer for Samsung Electronics China (Mobile Division) at Cheil Communications from 2018 to 2020. Sung was responsible for overseeing marketing communication activities and developing strategies. Following this, they joined Cheil Communications as the Director of Media Business Development, where they led the development of new business models in digital media, particularly digital OOH, and maintained business talks with strategic partners in the UK and US. Currently, Sung Woo is the Head of Digital Media at Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), where they are responsible for overseeing the company's digital owned media and developing content strategies and branding strategies.

Sung Woo began their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Korea University in Seoul, Korea from 1986 to 1991. Sung then pursued a Master's degree in Advertising from The University of Georgia between 1993 and 1995. Afterward, Sung Woo furthered their studies at Korea University as a Ph.D candidate in Marketing Communications and Media Effects from 2005 to 2012.
