Hyungseok (Jimmy) Kim is a Senior Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, specializing in the development of next-generation energy storage devices at the Center for Energy Storage Research since December 2017. Previously, Kim served as a PTD Engineer at Intel Corporation, focusing on dry etching processes and safety improvements from March 2016 to November 2017. Experience also includes roles as a Staff Research Associate and Graduate Research Assistant at UCLA, where Kim conducted synthesis and characterization of materials for electrochemical energy storage, as well as a research position at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology in 2010. Additionally, Kim was a Graduate Research Assistant at Yonsei University, working on various materials science projects. Kim earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from UCLA and holds degrees in the same field from Yonsei University.
