Camille Konopnicki-Vincent

Camille Konopnicki-Vincent has a long and varied work experience. Camille began their career in 2002 as a Learning Resource Center Tutor at Loyola Marymount University. In 2004, they were an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant at the same institution. In 2006, they became a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC San Diego, where they used in vivo and in vitro approaches to explore xenobiotic exposures and how they influence drug metabolism. Camille also served as a Pharmacology and Toxicology Teaching Assistant. In 2011, they were a Graduate Intern in PKDM at Amgen, where they performed siRNA down regulation of UGT isoforms in human hepatocytes. This work resulted in a first author publication. In 2013, they became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Yale University, where they received the NIH/NIGMS National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship. During this time, they designed and performed experiments in gnotobiotic mice to determine the role of the gut microbiota in warfarin function and drug processing. In 2017, they joined Kaleido Biosciences as a Scientist, where they were the Bile Acid Project Lead and collaborated with the software team to take LIMS from proof of concept to companywide standard. Camille was later promoted to Scientist II and became the Preclinical Pharmacology Working Group Lead. In 2022, they joined Korro Bio, Inc. as a Principal Scientist.

Camille Konopnicki-Vincent began their education at Sacred Heart Preparatory from 1997 to 2001. After graduating, they attended Loyola Marymount University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. In 2004, they also studied Polish language, literature, culture and history at Jagiellonian University. Camille then went on to pursue a Masters degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry at UC San Diego from 2006 to 2008. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from UC San Diego in 2012.
