Amal Chandarana has had a varied career in the IT and IT support industry. Starting in 2007 as an Accounts Assistant & Network Technician for Dovey Wines Ltd., Amal was responsible for using Quickbooks Pro Accounts Package to manage the purchase ledger and for stock control. They also maintained the computer network across multiple systems and platforms. In 2013, Amal moved to H2ecO as an IT Technician, where they were responsible for maintaining computers, software, websites, databases, and social media networks. From 2014 to 2017, Amal held the position of Information Technology Support Specialist at WDS, A Xerox Company. During this time, they were responsible for maintaining and providing exceptional customer service 1st/2nd Line support and troubleshooting customer mobile device queries. In 2017, Amal began working for Dorset County Council as an ICT Officer Frontline Delivery Level 3, where they monitored defined operational tasks and identified opportunities for improvement in performance across the service. Finally, Amal held the role of IT/AV Specialist at RNLI from 2018 to 2022. Currently, Amal is an IT Service Desk Analyst at Kortext.

Amal Chandarana's education history consists of several courses taken at Bournemouth & Poole College from 2008 to 2014. In 2008, Amal earned an NVQ Level 2 in AAT Foundation. In 2013, Amal earned a Functional Skills Level 3 in English Language and Literature, as well as a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in IT Applications Specialist. In 2014, Amal earned a Functional Skills Level 3 in Mathematics, as well as a Mobile Applications Production degree from Train2Game College.
