Ekeng Henshaw has a strong and diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Ekeng began their career as a NYSC/Graduate Trainee at the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited in 1995. Ekeng then worked as a Post-Graduate Trainee and Production Geologist at Shell from 1998 to 2001. Henshaw then joined Core Laboratories as a Reservoir Geoscientist from 2002 to 2004. Ekeng also gained experience as a Geologist at Hilcorp Energy Company in 2004 and as a Geoscientist at Schlumberger from 2004 to 2007. Henshaw then joined ExxonMobil as a Senior Petroleum Geologist from 2007 to 2012. Currently, they hold various roles at Kosmos Energy, including Senior Development Geologist from 2012 to 2015, Team Lead of Subsurface Appraisal & Development from 2015 to 2017, Manager of Geology for the EG JV from 2017 to 2020, Subsurface Manager for EG Development/Operations from 2020 to 2023, and Director of Subsurface for the EG Business Unit from 2023 onwards.
Ekeng Henshaw holds a Master's degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, which was completed in 2005. Prior to that, Ekeng completed a Post-Graduate Diploma at SITP - Robert Gordon University in 1999. In 1995, Ekeng obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Calabar.
