Tim Nicholson

Tim Nicholson is a seasoned exploration executive with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Exploration at Kosmos Energy since October 2018, Tim previously held key positions at Ecopetrol America Inc. and Cobalt International Energy, where responsibilities included directing global exploration strategies and managing significant budgets. Tim's career includes leadership roles at Chevron and UNOCAL, contributing to the development and execution of exploration programs and the management of high-performance teams. With a solid academic background in geology, Tim earned a Master of Science from Northern Arizona University and a BA from The College of Wooster.
