Karen Luther

Karen Luther, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has extensive experience in human resources and leadership roles. Karen is currently the Director of Human Resources at KOST USA - a Recochem Company since October 2022. Previously, Karen served as the Senior Vice President, Human Resources at The David J. Joseph Company from February 2020 to May 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Human Resources at The David J. Joseph Company from April 2011 to February 2020. Karen also worked as the Director of Human Resources at CONTECH Construction Products Inc. from July 2005 to March 2011. Additionally, they held the role of Human Resources Manager at The David J. Joseph Company from March 2001 to June 2004. Karen has also contributed to the Ohio SHRM State Council as Treasurer - Volunteer from March 2000 to December 2011. Karen has taught as an Adjunct Faculty at Xavier University's Business School in 2003 and 2004. Karen started their career as an Associate HR Representative at AK Steel from July 1998 to March 2001.

Karen Luther, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Services from the Miami University Farmer School of Business, which they obtained sometime before 1992. Karen graduated cum laude with a BSBA degree from Miami University in 1996. Karen also attended the Benjamin Franklin International School from 1987 to 1988 and the American School of Barcelona from 1985 to 1986, but their degree status for these schools is unknown. Karen is currently pursuing an MBA from Xavier University, beginning in 2004. Additionally, Karen has obtained several certifications, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2011 and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in 2015. Karen has also completed various other certifications related to diversity, equity, inclusion, coaching, and presenting complex information.
