Brandon Gutierrez has a diverse work experience in various technical and leadership roles. Brandon is currently working as a Digital Identity Platform Product Manager at Kount, an Equifax Company. Prior to this, they worked at Sandia National Laboratories, where they held multiple positions. As a Detail to TSA Lead System Architect, they set the direction and vision for the Transportation Security Administration's identity management architectural concepts and framework. Brandon led an interdisciplinary team conducting analysis of national security capabilities and facilitated executive engagements. Brandon also served as the liaison between the Department of Energy and TSA. Before this role, Brandon served as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they were an expert in explosive applications and physical security. Brandon conducted research for multiple government agencies, integrated entry control and contraband detection systems, and served as an instructor for the International Atomic Energy Agency. In their earlier role as a Senior Scientific Advisor, they worked on handheld explosive detector performance and advised on emerging threats and countermeasures. Brandon also managed portfolios related to explosive detection and intergovernmental collaborations. Brandon started their career at Sandia National Laboratories as a Member of Technical Staff, specializing in contraband detection and entry control systems. Brandon tested and evaluated commercial explosive detection systems and conducted experiments for explosive detection technology development. Prior to this, they worked as a General Engineer at the National Nuclear Security Administration, overseeing environmental restoration projects and serving as a liaison between Los Alamos National Laboratory and NNSA headquarters. Brandon also has experience as a Technical Student Intern at Sandia National Laboratories.
Brandon Gutierrez obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of New Mexico during the period from 2001 to 2006. Following this, they pursued further education and received a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the same university between 2007 and 2009.
