Paula Damen

Paula Damen is the current Business Development Partner at Kōura Wealth. Paula has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Paula started their career in 1991 as a Senior Broker Consultant at Commercial Union. In 1996, they moved to Momentum where they worked as an Executive Broker Consultant for 15 years. In 2011, they left Momentum to start their own company, Ely Aluf and Associates. Paula ran the company for two years before selling it in 2013. Paula then joined Discovery Limited as their Franchise Director. After three years with Discovery, Paula left to join Newpark Financial Services as their Business Development Manager. Paula left Newpark in 2018 to join NZ Financial Services Group as their Capability Lead. In 2021, Paula left NZ Financial Services Group to join Kōura Wealth as their Business Development Partner.

Paula Damen has a Micro-course Compliance Manager certification from Strategi, a NQFL5 Core Strand certification in Life, Health, Investments, and General Insurance from Strategi New Zealand, an NQFL6 in Financial Planning and Wealth Management from Milpark Business School, and a Matric certificate from Jeppe Girls High School Johannesburg. Paula also has a Certificate in Investments from Strategi and a NZ Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching L4 from QED and Associates.

They are on a team with Nigel Scott - Director, Rebecca Stratton - Operations Manager, and Angela Frazerhurst - Director. Paula Damen reports to Rupert Carlyon, Founder & Managing Director.
