Tony Pottakkal

Tony worked as a Research Scientist - Artificial Intelligence at CACI International Inc from 2018 to 2018, where they conducted research and development in advanced AI techniques and applied machine learning techniques to data analysis. Tony has expertise in Python, Tensorflow, and Keras APIs.

Tony has a background in systems engineering and data analysis. Tony worked at Raytheon from 2008 to 2018, holding roles such as Principal Systems Engineer / Data Analyst, Principal Field Engineer, and Sr. Systems Engineer I. At Raytheon, they performed software performance analysis, utilized systems engineering processes, and applied statistical methods in data analysis.

Before transitioning to the private sector, Tony served in the United States Air Force and USAFR. Tony worked as an Operations Watch Officer at USAFR from 2007 to 2013 and as a Missile Combat Crew Commander at the United States Air Force from 2002 to 2007. In these roles, they led day-to-day operations, conducted training, and oversaw safety programs.

Tony began their career as an RF Electronics Technician at AFRL DE from 1997 to 2002, where they gained experience in high power microwave testing, laser effects testing, and instrumentation and telemetry systems.

Tony Pottakkal obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Workforce Education - Training & Development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2001. Tony then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from Colorado Technical University, graduating in 2013. Tony furthered their education at Colorado Technical University and earned a Master of Science (MS) in Systems Engineering in 2016. In addition, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification in December 2018.
