Marilou Dadat has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Marilou began their career as an intern at Alexander McQueen and Vogue in 2008. Marilou then worked as an intern and later as a designer assistant at Dice Kayek from 2009 to 2012. In 2014, they joined Bonpoint as an Accessories and Shoe Designer for two seasons. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Lecturer for Fashion + Textiles at AUT University. In 2018, they became the Head Designer at Kowtow Clothing, responsible for designing their seasonal collections. Recently, they were promoted to the role of Creative Director at Kowtow Clothing. Additionally, since 2012, Marilou Dadat has been working as a Freelance Fashion Designer, specializing in accessories and womenswear.

Marilou Dadat's education history began in 2004 when they enrolled at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. Marilou pursued a Master's degree in Fashion and Graphic Design and completed their studies in 2010. In 2006, they attended the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, where they focused on pattern cutting. From 2007 to 2009, Marilou Dadat studied at the Ecole de Maroquinerie Grégoire Ferrandi, specializing in leather goods. In 2009, they briefly attended the California College of the Arts to further their studies in Fashion Design.
