Ally Karmali is an experienced professional in sustainability and compliance, currently serving as Partner in the ESG Practice at KPMG Canada since May 2022. In addition to this role, Karmali is a mentor in sustainability for both Techstars and the UofT Hatchery, and provides strategic advice on sustainability for the Canadian RegTech Association. Previously, Karmali worked at IBM as Associate Partner, Founder & National Practice Lead for Sustainability, Risk & Compliance, and held key compliance and regulatory positions at Resilience Economics, the Bermuda Monetary Authority, and PwC. Karmali began a career in investment compliance at State Street, progressively advancing through various managerial roles. Ally Karmali holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Economics and Business from York University.
