Heather Blosser has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the media industry. Heather began their career at KRON NBC/BAY-TV as a Director, Technical Director, and Technical Operator. Heather then worked at Nava Language School as an English Teacher, where they developed management and creative abilities. Heather also gained experience as a Master Control Operator at ZDTV/TechTV, where they broadcast digital programming and managed digital media inventory. Heather then joined Harris Communications as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where they participated in product design reviews and implemented test plans. Heather then worked at KTVU Fox as a Broadcast Engineer/Operator, where they assisted in maintenance and configuration of the automation network and edited video content for national and local news. Heather also served as a News Editor and supervised a team of editors. Currently, they are working at KQED as a Master Control Lead Engineer/Director.
Heather Blosser completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University between 1989 and 1992. In 1996 and 1997, they pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a TEFL Cert./MA Credits in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. In 2005 and 2007, Heather took professional courses at the Bay Area Video Coalition to enhance their skills. Additionally, in December 2018, they obtained a certification as an Unmanned Aircraft Remote Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
