Jan Christian Albiez

Jan Christian Albiez is a seasoned professional in the field of robotics and software engineering, currently serving as the Global Software and Autonomy Lead at Kraken Robotics since May 2022. Previously, Albiez held the position of Director of Engineering at Kraken Robotik GmbH from August 2017 to December 2022. With extensive experience, Albiez was a Senior Project Lead at the Brasilian Institute for Robotics, SENAI CIMATEC from June 2014 to July 2017, and served as a Senior Researcher and Project Leader at DFKI GmbH from 2006 to July 2017, focusing on underwater robotics and immersive tele-operation. Early career experience includes a role as a Researcher at FZI Karlsruhe from June 2000 to September 2006, where Albiez led various research and industry projects in walking robots and remote control technologies.
