Michael Vest

Michael Vest has extensive experience in the Danish correctional system, having served at Kriminalforsorgen since 1996 in various leadership roles, including Kompetenceudviklingschef and Afdelingsleder. In the current position, Michael leads a new competence secretariat and manages a team of 12 HR consultants, contributing to the implementation of a politically mandated multi-year project. Michael has successfully coordinated recruitment and talent development initiatives, overseeing the hiring of over 1,000 personnel. Educational background includes advanced leadership training and professional qualifications in correctional services and military command, with relevant degrees obtained from Københavns Professionshøjskole and Kriminalforsorgens Uddannelsescenter. Prior military service includes a role as Befalingsmand at Almegårds Kaserne.
