Matthew Spanjers has a diverse work experience in various leadership and strategic roles. Matthew started their career at Northwest Airlines as a Financial Analyst. Later, they joined McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal, where they specialized in retail, marketing, and brand strategy. Spanjers then moved to Caribou Coffee, where they held several roles, including Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships, Chief Development Officer, and Vice President of Commercial Businesses. Currently, they are the International President & Chief Growth Officer at Krispy Kreme, responsible for driving global enterprise growth strategy and overseeing the company's operating businesses outside the US.

Matthew Spanjers received a Bachelor's degree in English from Yale University in 1998. Matthew went on to pursue an MBA at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2000 to 2002.
