Bioinformatician- Associate Principal Scientist at Kromek

Dr. Katie Barr is a Bioinformatician-Associate Principal Scientist at Kromek Group plc since November 2020, specializing in the detection of microbial pathogens from metagenomic datasets using Oxford Nanopore MinION sequencing. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant role in bioinformatics at The University of Manchester, where data analysis tasks involved histological images, RNA-seq, and developing web tools for Raman spectra analysis.
