Michiel Merckx

Michiel Merckx currently serves as a Production Supervisor in Finishing at KRONOS Worldwide, Inc., starting in July 2023. Prior to this role, Michiel was a Production Team Leader at Pfizer from November 2020 to July 2023, overseeing operations in Vaccines cell 2, Vaccines cell 3, and Syringe cell 2. In 2019, Michiel completed a Master Thesis Project at InBio.Be focused on developing highly productive yeast strains. Additionally, from May 2019 to May 2020, Michiel held the position of Board Treasurer for the Vlaamse Levenstechnische kring, managing financial responsibilities for a significant student association in Ghent. Michiel Merckx earned a Master of Science in Engineering with a focus on Biotechnology from Ghent University in 2020, following a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the same institution in 2018.
