David Rooney

David Rooney currently serves as the Interim Staff Advisor at KRUI Radio, a position held since September 2023. In addition to this role, David has been an Access Consultant for Student Disability Services at the University of Iowa since February 2020. Prior experience includes a supervisory and mentoring role at Options for College Success from March 2017 to February 2020, a graduate internship at DePaul University’s Center for Students with Disabilities from August 2014 to August 2016, and a development internship at Have Dreams during the summer of 2015. David's earlier career involved a significant tenure as a Loan Officer Assistant at Emery Financial, Inc., where responsibilities included client management and loan origination, and as an Executive Sales Assistant at Encore Hollywood. David holds a Master of Nonprofit Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona.
