Suma Krishnan is the Founder and President of Krystal Biotech, Inc. since April 2016, focusing on the STAR-D platform to provide innovative treatments for patients with dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB). In addition, Suma serves as the Chief Executive Officer of LIGHT MATTERS FOUNDATION, starting in January 2011. Previously, Suma held the position of Senior Vice President in the Human Health and Therapeutic Division at Intrexon Corporation from January 2012 to March 2016 and served as Sr. Vice President at New River Pharmaceuticals from April 2002 to June 2007, where Suma led the development and approval of Vyvanse prior to its acquisition by Shire. Suma holds a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from Villanova University and studied at Fergusson College from 1982 to 1986.
