Durgesh Mukharya

Durgesh focuses his practice on patent prosecution and opinion matters, with special emphasis on the Life Science sector. His areas of expertise include biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, bio-informatics, bio-pharmaceuticals, genetic engineering, healthcare products, medical diagnostics and therapeutics. He also enjoys working on matters in the field of chemistry and material sciences. Durgesh has been involved in drafting and prosecution of several thousand applications and several key opinion matters for domestic and international clients.

Durgesh regularly advises clients on issues related to patentability, freedom to operate, due diligence and technology landscape besides advising clients on critical IP related issues that affect their businesses and patent portfolios.

Durgesh regularly appears before the Indian Patent Office and the Intellectual Property Appellate Board in connection with such matters.

Durgesh is also actively involved in business development and training initiatives of the firm. He is one of the leads of the Life Science practice at the Bangalore Office of the firm. Durgesh is a regular speaker at various conferences and seminars including those conducted by Government organizations.
