Karla Machado Barcus is the founder and owner of Kscholastic Inc., a premier in-home tutoring service based in Houston, with experience spanning from 2012 to the present as CEO, overseeing all executive functions and managing over 200 clients and 40 tutors. Karla implemented virtual tutoring services during the COVID-19 pandemic, initiated a study-hall program to support students during virtual learning, and worked with local schools to provide free tutoring sessions in emergencies. Prior to establishing Kscholastic Inc., Karla served as a substitute teacher and taught Spanish courses at various institutions, including St. Agnes Academy and The Kinkaid School. Karla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Psychology, and Education from the University of Houston.
