Bhaskar Thakur

Bhaskar Thakur has an extensive work experience in marketing and brand strategy. Bhaskar currently holds the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Kshema General Insurance Limited since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked at OPPO as the Marketing Director for the APAC region from July 2019 to July 2022. Before that, Bhaskar served as the Group Strategy Head at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, overseeing strategic planning for JWT, Ogilvy, and Mirum from June 2018 to July 2019. Bhaskar also held the role of Head of Strategic Planning at J. Walter Thompson from January 2017 to June 2018. Additionally, Bhaskar has experience in building a consumer brand as the Head of Brand Strategy at OYO, starting in September 2015 and ending in January 2017.

Bhaskar Thakur earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/History from Delhi University in 2001. Bhaskar later completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from École des Ponts Business School between 2002 and 2004.
