Kathryn Stauss

Kathryn Stauss is the Managing Director of Ksquared Search. Throughout her career, Kathryn has had a passion for learning about people, counseling leaders, solving problems and finding solutions and building businesses. As Managing Director, Kathryn plays a key role in building our relationships with our clients and continuing to evolve our business to be able to provide best in class customized service to our clients and candidates.

Kathryn joins Ksquared from American Express where she was a Human Resources Business Partner working most recently with the Global Marketing and Strategic Mergers, Acquisitions & Alliances organizations for the company’s commercial business. Prior to that Kathryn held roles as the HR BP for the Finance organization, Worldwide Staff Groups, Global Brand, Marketing and Digital Partnerships organization, Global Compliance & Ethics organization and the Strategic Planning Group. In those roles Kathryn partnered closely with the leadership teams advising on a broad range of matters including organization design & effectiveness and talent acquisition & development. Kathryn joined American Express as part of the Global Executive Recruitment team where she was responsible for creating and executing search strategies through close collaboration with HR colleagues, hiring leaders and external search partners.

Prior to American Express, Kathryn was a member of the legal search practice at a leading global executive search firm. There she specialized in senior-level legal and compliance searches across industry sectors. Kathryn started her career as a lawyer at the Boston office of Bingham McCutchen, and also served as in-house counsel for Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. in Boston and Chicago.

Kathryn received her J.D. from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College. Kathryn lives in Westchester, New York.
