Jeremy Newns

Director of Product Development & Research at KT Tape

Jeremy Newns has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 27 years. Their most recent role was at KT TAPE, where they served as the Director of Product Development & Research since July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for product design, development, manufacturing, packaging, and merchandising.

Prior to that, Jeremy had extensive experience in print media and production methods, working with various companies from 1993 to 2021. During this time, they specialized in product packaging, production design, and print production. Jeremy had expertise in retail/CPG packaging design, visual display merchandising, structural display design, folding carton design, prototypes, and packaging mock-ups.

From 2011 to 2015, Jeremy was involved in brand building and operations at Jamberry. Jeremy initially joined the company during its startup phase and contributed to its significant growth. Jeremy held various roles, including Director of Operations and Manufacturing, where they designed and scaled all aspects of operations and manufacturing and recommended and purchased capital equipment. Jeremy also played a key role in new product development, line extension, and manufacturing process improvements. Additionally, they served as the Director of Strategic Sourcing, sourcing a broad range of commodities and services on a global basis.

Before joining Jamberry, Jeremy worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Utah Valley University and Provo College, where they taught courses related to art, visual communications, and graphic design.

Jeremy's earlier experiences include managing design teams at Ziplocal and serving as a Security Specialist for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games. In the latter role, they worked as a team lead and provided security for SLOC executives, international dignitaries, and athletes.

Jeremy Newns has a diverse education history. In 1996, they obtained an associate degree in Art & Visual Communication with a focus on Graphic Design from Provo College. In 2012, they studied Business Management at Utah Valley University. Most recently, from 2016 to 2019, Jeremy pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing Management from Western Governors University. Jeremy also obtained a certification in CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA Project+ in February 2018.
