Jacek Wysocki

Jacek Wysocki has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software development and technology consulting. Jacek is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Kubeshop since 2021. Prior to that, they founded and managed their own company called Wysocki Consulting in 2020, where they served as a Solution Architect, Engineer, and Trainer, helping companies adopt modern technologies, managing technical debt and software architecture, and providing trainings for teams.

Before starting their own company, Jacek worked at Kasia.in from 2012 onwards as a Lead Software Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and deploying a custom blog engine using technologies like Go, Docker, MongoDB, and Redis.

From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Kinguin as a Lead Software Engineer in the Architects Team. Jacek played a crucial role in migrating the platform to a micro-services architecture, improving development processes, mentoring teams, and introducing new technologies. Jacek also served as the Technical Blog Chief Editor during this time.

Jacek has also worked as a Lecturer at Coders Lab from 2017 to 2021, where they shared their expertise with aspiring developers. In 2014, they worked at Pearson IOKI Sp. z o.o. as a Software Architect Technical Lead, managing technology decisions and implementing improvements in development processes. Jacek also had previous roles at Pearson IOKI as a Performance Engineer and Senior Software Developer, where they focused on application performance testing, implementing architectural solutions, and working with technologies like PHP, MySQL, Python, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and Apache Cassandra.

Prior to that, Jacek owned their own company called D::Evolve from 2010 to 2014. Jacek also worked at EDP Auto as a Senior Software Developer and Software Developer from 2010 to 2014, where they gained experience in PHP, PostgreSQL, Symfony, RabbitMQ, JenkinsCI, SonarCube, NodeJS, and AngularJS in the CRM and automotive market context.

Jacek's early work experience includes a role as a Software Developer at PCGUARD from 2006 to 2010, and as an IT Specialist at Ogicom Sp. z o.o. from 2005 to 2006.

Jacek Wysocki started their education journey in 1995 at Akademia Rolnicza im. Augusta Cieszkowskiego w Poznaniu, where they pursued a degree in Computer Software Engineering. Jacek completed their M. Sc., Eng. degree in this field in 2000.

In terms of additional certifications, Jacek obtained the SAFe 4 Certified Agilist certification in February 2018 from Scaled Agile, Inc. In August 2015, they obtained a certification in NoSQL - Cassandra Database from Sages. Jacek also obtained certifications in MongoDB, specifically MongoDB for DBAs from MongoDB, Inc. in July 2015, and MongoDB for developers from MongoDB, Inc. in March 2015. In January 2015, they completed a Human Centered Design Course from IDEO.
