Job description

KUBRA's Service Delivery department is looking for a skilled Release Analyst to join our Release Management team!

As a Release Analyst, you will be joining a collaborative and highly responsive team while maintaining quality by performing testing, ensuring that audit and compliance standards met, and deploying tested products and solutions into different servers and environments.

This is a 12-month contract and hybrid opportunity based in our office in Mississauga, ON.

  • Perform and execute the appropriate Compliance Test Plan for assigned Change Requests
  • Conduct testing on applications before deployment
  • Verify program functions according to client requirements and ensure compliance to establishment guidelines
  • Perform and execute Migration and Deployment plans per the schedule and release
  • Enforce best-practices and standards before live release dates for scheduled migrations, Canada to US location moves, and Legacy to VBS .NET conversions
  • Develop and maintain Compliance, Migration and Deployment plans as needed
  • Prevent incidents resulting from updates to production systems

What skills do you need?

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • 2+ year Working experience on Amazon Web services.
  • 1-3 years of Software QA Testing experience in the IT industry
  • 1-3 years of Deployment experience in the IT industry
  • 1-3 years of Quality Assurance experience focusing on software functionality verification
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology
  • Experience with maintaining process and compliance standards
  • Experience with manual, regression, Back-end and Blackbox testing
  • Strong Experience with maintaining process and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous deployment tools like TeamCity and BitBucket.
  • Strong knowledge using source and version control tools such as Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Source Tree, Stash/GIT
  • Knowledge of C# and VBS.NET
  • Experience performing SQL queries to validate data
  • Experience using tracking systems such as JIRA
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards
