Kevin Vales

Kevin Vales has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Kevin started their career as a Client Support Specialist at Sanitek Computer Services in 2005, where they provided technical support for clients. Kevin then worked at PC Club Computer Superstore as an Assistant Manager and Computer Technician, where they successfully increased "Computer Repair" revenue by 400%.

In 2007, Kevin joined CWIE and served as a Software Tester, Software Tester Lead, and Software Developer, participating in various responsibilities related to testing, spec analysis, and software development. Kevin also took the initiative to research and proof-of-concept solutions for development issues.

Kevin later became a Software Developer II at CWIE, focusing on software development, engineering, and on-call duties. Kevin identified problem systems and recommended solutions to prevent future issues.

From 2009-2014, Kevin held the role of Software Operations Engineering Lead at CWIE, where they provided software development and engineering expertise and exhibited leadership skills. Kevin acted as a knowledge base and resource for the entire Implementations department and implemented proactive employee retention strategies.

In 2014, Kevin transitioned to KUBRA as a Senior Software Engineer, developing software solutions for utility companies and their customers. Kevin worked closely with delivery teams to ensure product solutions met or exceeded expectations. Eventually, they were promoted to Product Lead, Notifi, where they led a team of Senior Software Engineers and successfully delivered software solutions while tackling complex technical problems and improving the SDLC and CI/CD pipeline.

Currently, Kevin is a Principal Software Engineer at KUBRA, responsible for driving the development and architecture of new products and services. Kevin translates business requirements into realities and investigates issues in both familiar and unfamiliar code bases. Kevin also designed and implemented active-active multi-region Kubernetes clusters deployed and managed using GitOps.

Throughout their career, Kevin has consistently demonstrated their ability to take on challenging responsibilities, solve technical problems, and facilitate the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Kevin Vales has pursued studies in Computer Science at Rio Salado College, although the specific duration and completion status of this educational experience are not mentioned.
