Xián López Álvarez has a diverse work experience in the field of computer vision and research. Xián started their career as an Assistant at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 2012. In 2014, they joined ITMATI as a Researcher, where they worked on the implementation of a module for gas network simulation. Xián continued their research work at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 2016 as a Researcher. In 2017, they joined DAVANTIS as a Computer Vision Specialist. Currently, they are working at Kudan, where they started as a Computer Vision Engineer in 2019 and is now serving as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer and Lead of the Lidar Slam team. Their expertise includes visual and Lidar Slam, IMU, wheel odometry, and GNSS fusion.
Xián López Álvarez completed a Master's Degree in Computer Vision from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2016-2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Master en Técnicas Estadísticas e Investigación Operativa (Statistics) from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela between 2013 and 2015. Xián also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, which they obtained in 2007-2013. In addition, they spent a year studying at the University of Lodz in 2011-2012, although the specific degree and field of study during that time are not provided.
