Matthew Dommel

Matthew Dommel is a scientist currently employed at Kula Bio, where work commenced in March 2024. Prior to this, Matthew Dommel held the position of Scientist II at Conagen from January 2022 to August 2023, focusing on strain development for the antibody production strain Conamax. Experience also includes a role as a Molecular Biologist at the USDA Agricultural Research Service, where research involved protein interactions in viral plant pathogens. Matthew Dommel completed a postdoctoral research position in plant pathology at the University of Florida, conducting research on bacterial phytopathogen effector proteins. Education includes a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Horticulture from Penn State University.
