Paul Troost

Paul Troost is currently working as a Lead Electrical Engineer at Kulicke & Soffa since August 2020. Prior to this role, they worked at Allseas as a Senior R&D Engineer from July 2018 to August 2020 and as an R&D Engineer from April 2014 to June 2018. At Allseas, they led a €1.1M vessel automation project using industrial robots and employed virtual reality prototyping to minimize development time and cost. Before Allseas, Paul worked at Applied Micro Electronics BV (AME) as a System Engineer RD&D from October 2007 to March 2014, where they designed a firm real-time flow computer for the petrochemical industry, developed statistical classifiers for activity recognition, and led a development team for designing an elevator control board. Paul also had an internship at Noldus Information Technology from September 2012 to February 2013, where they implemented a gesture recognition system for recognizing eating gestures. Additionally, they had an internship at FEI Company from February 2010 to June 2010, where they developed a servo motion controller for nano-positioning in electron microscopes.

Paul Troost has a strong educational background in computer science and engineering. Paul obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Embedded Systems - Computer Science from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2013. In addition, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) program in Real-time Software Development at the University of Twente in 2011. Prior to their master's programs, Paul completed a Premaster ES in Embedded Systems - Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology in 2010. Paul holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, which they earned in 2010. Before their bachelor's studies, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. Paul Troost completed their pre-university secondary education (VWO) at Stedelijk Dalton Lyceum Dordrecht from 1999 to 2005. Additionally, Paul has obtained several certifications including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from LeanENT BV, NEN 3140 vakbekwaam persoon (VP) from NEN, and Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) from FMTC Safety.
