Joe Blough

Joe Blough has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Joe is currently working as a Technical Lead at Kumanu since 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Software Architect at Arbormoon Software, Inc from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they were involved in various tasks including Flutter mobile app development, native iOS app development, web front-end development using Vue.js, server work on GCP/AWS/Azure and Firebase, as well as server development using Java/Kotlin/Spring, node.js, and Django. Joe also worked on database management using PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.

Before joining Arbormoon Software, Joe Blough worked as a Technical Lead at Kumanu in 2019 and as a Senior Software Engineer from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters from 2014 to 2016. Joe also worked at Arbormoon Software, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer from 2012 to 2014.

Joe Blough's career started at Thomson Reuters in 1997, where they held the positions of Senior Software Engineer from 1998 to 2012 and Assistant Database Administrator from 1997 to 1998. Before entering the software engineering field, they worked as a Team Assistant at Creative Solutions in 1996 and as a Forensic Scientist at the Texas Department of Public Safety from 1995 to 1996.

Joe Blough attended the University of Michigan from 1991 to 1995 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. In terms of additional certifications, Joe completed various online courses and specializations. In 2019, they earned the "Applied Data Science with Python Specialization" from Coursera. In 2020, they completed the "Python 3 Programming Specialization" and "Statistics with Python Specialization," also from Coursera. In 2021, Joe obtained the "Web Applications for Everybody Specialization" from Coursera. Additionally, they acquired the "Django for Everybody" certification in 2020. In the same year, Joe became a certified "Associate Cloud Engineer" in the Google Cloud Platform.
