Sunil Manaktala

Sunil studied commerce at Bombay University. Immersed in work at an early age, he joined his father and brother in the family business in 1979.

He opened up the company's footprint in SE Asia, Australia and West Africa. In 2004, he

spearheaded a joint venture with Crown Iron Works, to bring Crown technologies to a broader audience in the Indian subcontinent and Africa. In 2021, he was instrumental in a strategic technology tie-up with Anderson International Corp to manufacture their machines in India under an exclusive licence.

Sunil is a dedicated philanthropist; a founder-trustee of Shivrajvati Onkarnath Charitable Trust and on the board of several charitable institutions to advance education and economic welfare. He believes we can go forward as a species only when we come together to create opportunities for the many and wants to channel Kumar's success as an industry leader into a resource that brings economic equity to underserved communities.

Sunil lives his life by his core values of integrity, honesty, self-discipline, hard work and accountability, principles that shine through in his work and all other aspects of life too. Together with his lovely wife, Rita, he also owns an organic farm that grows a cornucopia of seasonal fruits and vegetables on the outskirts of Mumbai.
