Martin Heugel

Martin Heugel has extensive work experience in the field of systems engineering and additive manufacturing. Martin is currently working as a Senior Project Manager Systems Engineering at Kumovis since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a consultant in additive manufacturing, patents, and start-ups from January 2021 to March 2021.

From 1998 to 2020, they worked at EOS, where they held various roles including Senior Engineering Project Manager, Patent Expert in Metal Printing Systems, Group Manager System Design M, Project Manager Metal Printing Systems, and Unit Manager Laser/Scanner/Optics. During their time at EOS, they contributed to the development and management of metal printing systems.

Before joining EOS, they worked at JURCA Optoelektronik GmbH as a Design and Development Engineer from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they worked at KONTEC GmbH as a Design Engineer specializing in 3D-CAD from November 1995 to February 1996.

Martin Heugel attended the University of Stuttgart from 1987 to 1995, where they pursued their degree as a Diplom-Ingenieur. During their time at the university, they specialized in the field of Laser in der Materialbearbeitung (IFSW) and also studied Werkstoffkunde & Festigkeitslehre (MPA), which focuses on material science and strength engineering.
